Die EM ist so schnell vorbei wie sie angefangen hat. Es waren wahnsinnig spannende Wettkämpfe dabei, tolle Sprünge und für den einen oder anderen sogar eine Bestleistung. Jedenfalls muss sich Europas Elite bei der WM in Kazan nicht verstecken. Unterm Strich gab es für die deutsche Mannschaft 2 Goldmedaillen, 2 Silbermedaillen und 3 Bronzemedaillen. Damit sind sie in der Gesamtwertung auf Rang 3, hinter Italien (3x Gold) und Russland (3x Gold, 6x Silber, 2x Bronze).
Besonders beeindruckend war der Turmwettkampf der Männer. Martin Wolfram konnte diesen mit ganzen 575,30 Punkten für sich entscheiden. Das ist eine ganz schöne Hausnummer und lässt auf eine Medaille bei der WM hoffen. Auch der 8. Sieg in Folge des Synchronpaares Sascha Klein und Patrick Hausding im Turmsynchronspringen ist alles andere als selbstverständlich!
Insgesamt war die EM auch für den Veranstalter sehr erfolgreich. Wir hoffen, dass auch jeder Zuschauer zufrieden war. Nicht nur beeindruckt von der faszinierenden Sportart, sondern auch von der Atmosphäre die der Wasserspringerclub Rostock, inklusive des Internationalen Springertag e.V., hergestellt hat. Vielen Dank an alle Helfer und Organisatoren, aus unserer Sicht eine tolle Veranstaltung. Man sieht sich dann zum Springertag im nächsten Jahr.

The European Championships are over as fast as it started. It had been really thrilling events with a lot of impressing dives. Europes best divers should not hide at the World Championchips in Kazan in a few weeks. The german Team finished the EC with 2 gold medals, 2 silver and 3 bronze medals. In the overall ranking right after Italy (3x gold) and Russia (3x gold, 6x silver, 2x Bronze). The most impressiv event had been the Platform men competition. Martin Wolfram won this event by getting 575,30 points, which is quite a score. It could mean to win a medal at the World Championships. Also, the 8th win in a row by Sascha Klein and Patrick Hausding means a lot. They won the 10m synchro men event on Sunday, again. 

Overall the European Championships had been a success, for the athletes and the Organization. We hope, that not only the impressiv sport had been thrilling, also the organization had been comfortable for every participant and viewer. Thank you to all athletes, officials and everybody else 

who joined this fantastic event. Thanks to Wasserspringerclub Rostock and Internationaler Springertag e.V. for the organization. And last but not least, thanks to every volunteer!

Martin Wolfram hat es an die Spitze Europas geschafft. Sein bisher einziger Kommentar dazu: „Ich bin sprachlos“. Er konnte sich im Turmfinale der Männer an die Spitze setzen. „Ich habe schon immer von so einem Titel geträumt. Dass dieser aber in dieser Form gekommen ist, konnte ich mir nicht einmal vorstellen“. Seine Punktzahl: 575,30 . Deutscher Rekord!
Er ist jedenfalls stolz und das völlig zurecht. Wir alle nämlich auch!

Martin Wolfram can now call himself a Champion of Europe. So far his only comment: „I am speachless“. He won the 10m men final. „I have ever dreamed of such type of title. That this title is coming that way, i couldn‘t have imagine.“ His Pionts: 575,30. German Record!
He is proud, as we all are!

Martin gewinnt den Vorkampf! Nach einem sehr guten Wettkampf konnte sich Martin Wolfram mit gut 10 Punkten Vorsprung an die Spitze setzen. Nun sind die Hoffnungen auf eine Medaille im Finale heute Nachmittag um 16 Uhr natürlich ziemlich groß. Auch Dominik Stein konnte sich für das Finale qualifizieren. Bei seinen Sprüngen ist auch noch Luft nach oben, sodass auch hier eine reelle Chance auf eine Medaille besteht.

Martin made it to the final by winning the prelims. He had been over 10 points ahead of the second place. This competition raised hope to win a medal in the final this afternoon at 4pm. Dominik Stein made it to the final, too. But his dives can be better, so maybe the chance to win two medals in this final could be better than the result of the prelims seem to show.
