The team will also be joined by four newcomers to the international scene: winner of the European Junior Championships from 1m and 3 m, Timo Barthel (Dresden), Louisa Stawczynski (Dresden) as well as sisters Christina and Elena Wassen (Berlin). Elena, aged 14, is the youngest member of the team and won two silver medals (platform and 3m synchronised diving) at the European Junior Championships in Bergamo last year. The European Diving Championships in Rostock are the third continental title bouts in Germany in a row. Europe's diving elite previously met in Rostock in 2013, while last year's competitions were hosted in Berlin as part of the big European Championships.
